Breast feeding and plastics

Breast feeding is said to be God s gift for a new born to adapt in the external environment. all animals including mammals feed their babies and is considered not jut fir nourishment but for prevention of infection and adaptation in the new environment.

As we have shown faith in science and technology and earning patterns have changed along with travelling and employability so has the feeding practices. now more and more females are working and breast feeding for 2 years is now a challenge.

More and more caretakers are shifting to bottle feeding and fancy items which are mostly made up of plastics and other rubber items.

Plastic bottles leach out BPA or its substitutes like BPAF, BPF, BPS, and phthalates from BPA free plastic bottles, whenever these bottles are exposed to high temperatures, subjected to cleaning by harsh detergents or change in acidic pH.

Few studies have even detected these chemicals in blood and urine samples after subjecting them to chromatography.

These compounds are said to be carcinogenic and allergens for the new born babies.
